Hope you are not already tired of my "dear diary" CAT Tales, because there is more of them to come!!!
Anyways some details about the first time that we went to Chennai for the sessions. Well it wasn’t much of a burden the first time. Even getting up at 3.30 in the morning was exciting!! All of us guys met outside the hostel and rendezvoused with Sripriya in the College.
Once we reached the center, first we had the AIMCAT and by God it was a DISASTER (notice the frequent usage of this word lately). Anyways we put it down to inadequate sleep and the tiring journey (good excuse, na?)
Anyways the session followed after a break. The session was an introductory types wherein we were told what to expect in the subsequent weeks.
After another tiring journey we were back in Vellore and too tired to do anything that day.
Here are my scores for this AIMCAT and the corresponding diary entry.
AIMCAT 0808
"Another wretched performance

Well the next few trips were routine(if getting up at 3:30 A.M. can be called that). Anyways after a few days the novelty of the whole thing wore off and I woke up in the mornings cursing everyone in the world especially the TIME people.
Not that we went to Chennai every week. I was the most regular of the lot (after all its my blog) and we used to call each other in the morning to wake each other up.
Sometimes it was tougher than others to wake up. I can never in my life forget that night of 20-Twenty Semifinal match India v/s Aussies. While everybody was watching the match I was lying in my bed trying to sleep so as to get up in a few hours to go to Chennai. With every cheer I made up my mind against going to Chennai but then the next days class was pretty important.
The next day I woke up, cursed the world and TIME people even more and went to Chennai. And if I wasn’t in a foul enough mood already, Raghunath Sir made it worse by taking up examples from the previous days' match for explaining some concepts.
Another definite plus that came out of my trips to Chennai however had nothing to do with CAT. Actually on reaching the Chennai station we guys used to eat at Mary Brown. We loved those Veg Burgers. But after a few weeks Sripriya forcibly (almost) took us to Sarvana Bhavan and made us try this awesome delicacy there. Its called "14 Idli Ghee Sambhar". No matter where in the world you live, locate a Sarvana Bhavan eatery close to you and go and try this dish. ITS AWESOME. Ever since becoming a fan I have converted about half a dozen people or possibly more.
(I have not been paid by the Sarvana Bhavan people to write this, though I wouldn’t mind a discount if they were to offer one)
More tales of the CAT, in the next edition.
